Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive at Delhi

Arrive at New Delhi’s International Airport. Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, our representative will meet you as you exit the arrival terminal building after which you would be transferred to your hotel.

Day 02 : Delhi

Morning proceed for fuIl day sightseeing of Old & New Delhi. Introduction to Delhi starts with a heritage walk to Old Delhi (Shahjahanabad) visiting Red Fort, Jama Mosque, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat. In the 17th century, the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, made his capital in Shahjahanabad, the area that broadly covers present-day Old Delhi, also called the walled city.

Jama Masjid is the largest and most well-known mosque in India. It is flanked by Red fort on one side and old city Chandni Chowk on another side. Built by Shah Jahan in 17th century, Jama Masjid is one of the most crowded destinations in Delhi for pilgrims and tourists.

Also have an outer glimpse of The Red Fort.

The Red Fort was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century that took around 9 years to complete this magnificent structure and around 10 million rupees to build the fort. The Red Fort is a masterpiece of architecture and is one of the most visited spot in old Delhi. The Red Fort, the last fort built in Delhi, has witnessed the vicissitudes of fate, the Mughals, the British, and finally the first light of Indian Independence.

The romance of the bazaars of Delhi can be experienced at its best in and around Chandni Chowk and it’s by lanes. Today, the walled city is one of the metropolis’ most crowded, chaotic and captivating areas, with a bamboozling orchestra of sights, and sounds. According to legend, Chandni Chowk market was established during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The legend also says that Chandni Chowk market was designed by Jahanara-Emperor Shah Jahan's favorite daughter.

Following walk enjoy Rickshaw ride in the by lanes of Chandni Chowk.

Later visit Raj Ghat, resting place of Mahatma Gandhi's. Raj Ghat remembers the man who is known as the Father of the Nation for his tireless and pacifist work to reclaim India's independence.

Following visit of Raj Ghat, proceed for Lutyen’s Delhi covering a photo stop at India Gate followed by orientation tour of Raj path, Parliament House and President House.

Late afternoon visit to Humayun’s Tomb.

Humayun’s the second Mughal Emperor of India died in 1556, and his widow Hamida Banu Begam, also known as Haji Begam, commenced the construction of his tomb in 1569, fourteen years after his death. Humayun’s Tomb is the first distinct example of proper Mughal style, which was inspired by Persian architecture.

Later you will visit to Qutab Minar. 

Qutab Minar is amongst the tallest and the most famous monuments in the world. This beautiful minaret is 234 feet high and is regarded as the tallest individual tower in the world. The Qutab Minar is one of the many masterpieces that depicted the sheer brilliance of the Mughal architects.

Qutbu'd-Din Aibak laid the foundation of Minar in AD 1199 for the use of the mu'azzin (crier) to give calls for prayer and raised the first storey, to which were added three more storeys by his successor and son-in-law, Shamsu'd-Din Iltutmish (AD 1211-36).

Day 03 : Delhi to Jodhpur (By Air) to Osian (65 Kms / 1.5 Hrs.)

Morning transfer to New Delhi airport to board flight for Jodhpur

Upon arrival at Jodhpur, travel to Osian by surface.

Surrounded by golden sand dunes and hamlets, Osian, located 65 km north of Jodhpur, is famous for its Hindu and Jain temples and is known as the Khajuraho of Rajasthan due to the erotic sculptures on the temples. A prominent trading center on the Silk Route from the 8th to the 12th century AD, Osian was also a major pilgrimage site during the Gurjara Pratihara dynasty, who ruled much of northern India from the 6th to the 11th centurty and was known as Upakesapura. A famous pilgrimage site of the Oswal Jain community, most of the shrines and temples in Osian lie in ruins today.

Upon arrival at Osian, check-in at resort.

Afternoon proceed for half day sightseeing of Osian Village.

The city with an 8th century Sun Temple with carved pillars which support a conical roof. The temple also has an image of Goddess Durga. The 12th century Sachiya Mata temple has a large assembly-hill with an elaborately-carved ceiling and exquisitely-sculptured figures of several gods. The Mahavir Jain temple stands on a wide terrace with a three-tiered roof and a 'Torana' getaway.

Day 04 : Osian to Jodhpur (65 Kms / 1.5 Hrs.)

Morning, travel to Jodhpur by surface.

Located on the eastern fringe of the Thar Desert, the city of Jodhpur exudes the languid charm of a frontier outpost. Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan and a major tourist attraction in the country. The city is known as the "Sun City" for the bright, sunny weather it enjoys all year. It is also referred to as the "Blue City" due to the vivid blue-painted houses around the Mehrangarh Fort.

Evening enjoy an exhilarating 4 x 4 Jeep Safari.

Imagine a “Desert Experience” that showcases rural Rajasthan in its full glory. Added to this rich cultural experience is the thrill, excitement and adrenaline rush of off-road driving as you tackle this terrain in the 4x4 vehicles through sandy river beds, and sharp twists and turns.

You will visit to the actual homes of members of different communities like the Bishnois, Rajputs, Brahmins, and Raikas, and a chance to interact with them first hand. You will get a chance to witness artisans and craftsmen such as the potter, the weaver, etc. The variety of wild life and avian life makes for a photographer's paradise.

Day 05 : Jodhpur

Morning proceed for half day guided sightseeing tour would cover a visit to Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum.

As Rajasthan’s largest fort, Mehrangarh forms a looming presence over Jodhpur. Visible from miles around, it is a grand statement of Rajput valor. Its construction was started around 1459 by the king known as the founder of Jodhpur, Rao Jodha and is believed to have been completed by Raja Jeswant Singh in the second half of the 17th century. There are several palaces inside the fort. The fort offers magnificent panoramic view of the city.

Jaswant Thada is situated on the left side of Fort Mehrangarh, in fact between the fort and the city. Well maintained gardens welcome you inside the compound, and provide a great base to sit back and reflect on what you’ve seen and experienced. This cenotaph was built by Sardar Singhji in memory of his father.

Umaid Bhawan Palace is one of the last palaces built in India. It was built in 1944 by Maharaja Umaid Singh. The king was attracted very much to the western style of living. The palace reflects his taste, as it is one of the rare palaces in India whose architecture is distinctly western.

With 347 rooms, it was at the time the largest private residence in the world. Gaj Singh, the present owner, has divided the Palace into three functional parts. The first is a luxury heritage hotel run by the Taj group since 1977. The second forms the residence of the erstwhile royal family, and the third is an area open to public that houses among others a small museum. The museum's collection includes royal finery, local art and craft, miniature paintings, stuffed big cats, and a large number of clocks.

Day 06 : Jodhpur to Jaipur (330 Kms/ 7 Hrs)

Morning, travel to Jaipur by surface.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, check-in to hotel.

Jaipur is the capital of Rajput state Rajasthan and is famous for its architectural wonder and rich cultural heritage. Adorned with pink sandstone palaces, majestic forts and verdant green gardens against a scenic backdrop of the Aravalli hills, Jaipur represents the charm of India’s rich past and the sophistication of a flourishing metropolis. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II founded the city in 1727, when he decided to shift his capital from Amer. A renowned architect, astronomer, and avid scientist, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II built his capital with geometric precision and made Jaipur one of the most well planned cities in India.

Evening is at leisure or free to stroll around local market on you own.

Day 07 : Jaipur

Morning proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting Amber Fort, City Palace, Observatory, and Hawa Mahal.

Amber Fort is located in Amer, 11 Km from Jaipur. The fort boasts of an artistic grandeur and structural expertise. It is a reminiscent of the bravery and courage of the mighty Rajputs, who had played a remarkable role in the history of medieval India. Man Singh I started the construction of this fort in 1592 and, perhaps, it was the defense that topped his priorities before constructing this fort. The Kesar Kyari Complex of Maota Lake enhances the entire experience.

You will enjoy Elephant Ride to reach the magnificent Amber Fort.

Later proceed for City Palace.

City Palace is one of the major landmarks in Jaipur. The beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign. Among the various forts and palaces of Jaipur, City Palace stands apart, with its outstanding art and architecture. In the Palace complex visit Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum.

Following City Palace, visit to Observatory or Jantar Mantar. It is an astronomical observation site built in the early 18th century. It was built by Maharaja Jai Sigh II in 1724, whose passion for science, engineering, and astronomy prompted him to construct this complex of fourteen scientific instruments. It’s been over 200 years since they were first constructed, these fourteen structures can still accurately measure time; predict eclipses, and track stars and planets in their orbits.

Drive past magnificent Hawa Mahal and walk through the old bazaars of Jaipur, popularly known as Bapu Bazar.

Hawa Mahal is perhaps the most well-known architectural landmark of Jaipur. It is a five-storeyed structure embellished with numerous little windows and balconies. It was designed as a viewing gallery for the women of the royal household, the windows and balconies of this palace feature delicate latticework that is astonishing in detail and level of craftsmanship.

Day 08 : Jaipur to Ranthambore (200 Km/ 3.5 Hrs)

Morning, travel to Ranthambore by surface.

The Ranthambore National Park was once the private hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur. The park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district of south-eastern Rajasthan, which is about 130 km from Jaipur. At present, the national park is a part of Project Tiger and is one of the few places in the world, where over 300 species of birds and wildlife such as tigers, leopards, nilgai, black buck and Indian black boar graze with gay abandon. Visiting Ranthambore is a dream of every wildlife enthusiast; the park is renowned for tigers and is one of the best places in India to sight the majestic species.

Later in the afternoon, visit to Dastkar women’s cooperative society

A society for crafts and craftspeople Dastkar-Ranthambore is a registered society that aims at improving the economic status of craftspeople in the village and nearby villages of Ranthambore, thereby promoting the survival of traditional crafts.

The crux of its programme is to help craftspeople of Ranthambore, especially women, to use their own traditional craft skills as a means of employment, income generation and economic self-sufficiency.

Day 09 : Ranthambore

Day 10 : Ranthambore to Agra (250 Kms/ 5 Hrs)

Morning, travel to Agra by surface, enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.

Built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the mid-16th century, Fatehpur Sikri was meant to be a new capital for his empire. It was also the emperor’s homage to Saint Sheikh Salim Chishti, who predicted the birth of the emperor’s much-desired son and heir. Built in almost uniform style, Sikri is a sprawling complex of palaces, mosques, temples, and other structures. It is a stunning amalgamation of the Persian and Indian styles of building.

After sightseeing, proceed further towards Agra – The City of Taj Mahal.

Famed with one of the Seven Wonders of the World - Taj Mahal, historical monuments, architectural grandeur ventures and the beauty of marbles, Agra thrives as one of the tourist destination in India. The city is known for its superb inlay work on marble by craftsmen supposedly with a lineage dating back to the Mughals. Agra’s handicrafts also include carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes.

Day 11 : Agra

Morning, visit to Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Taj Mahal is one of the Seven wonders in the world and a must see place in India. It is the living specimen of romantic love life of Shah Jahan and his favorite beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of this beautiful monument was completed in 1653 AD. The Mughal King Sha Jahan built this as the final resting place for the queen Mumtaz. It is believed that it took nearly 22 years to complete the grandeur palace. There are 22 small domes over the Taj Mahal, denoting the 22 years and the verses of holy Koran are inscribed on the domes. The white marble building changes its hue with the variations in the daylight.

Following visit of Taj Mahal, proceed for Agra Fort.

Nestled on the west banks of River Yamuna, this crescent shaped fort was commissioned by Akbar, one of the greatest Mughal Emperors, in 1565. Since then, his descendants Jehangir, Shah Jahan and even Aurangzeb have added extensions to the fort. Surrounded by mighty ramparts, the complex has within the fort has several palaces, gardens, halls, and other historical structures. A visit to the Agra Fort complements visits to the Taj Mahal, as the fort itself offers great views of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna.

Evening enjoy the cultural show “Mohabbat the Taj”.

The show is a saga of love based on story behind the making of Taj Mahal. The eternal love story of Emperor Shah Jehan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal who gave us first wonder in the world in the form of ‘Taj Mahal’. The romantic tale from Indian history has been told in a dramatic manner through a live performance by over 80 professional artists packed by latest light and sound technologies. The main attraction of this show is the 12’ Taj Replica weighing 8250 kilos.

Day 12 : Agra to Delhi (210 Kms/ 4 Hrs)
